Statement by TGI AG on the BaFin Consumer Advisory of March 6, 2026
Statement
Vaduz, March 8, 2026 – TGI AG acknowledges that the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) published a consumer notice on March 6, 2026, concerning the company.
TGI AG is cooperating fully with the relevant authorities and is engaged in active dialogue with BaFin. We take regulatory guidance seriously and are reviewing the matters in question internally with due diligence.
We would like to emphasize to our customers, partners, and business associates: We are confident that an objective examination of the relevant issues will lead to a clear understanding of the situation.
Herbert Müllner, CFO and member of the Board of Directors of TGI AG, explains: “We hold ourselves to the highest standards of compliance and constantly strive to meet all legal and regulatory requirements. The matters in question are being carefully reviewed by both internal and external experts. This process is ongoing.”
A Factual Analysis of the BaFin Announcement
In its announcement, BaFin expressly emphasizes: “However, it does not verify the accuracy of the information contained in the prospectus. Nor does it assess the issuer’s credibility or review the product.” A consumer advisory issued by BaFin does not constitute a finding of a legal violation and therefore does not allow for any conclusions to be drawn regarding the effectiveness of a business model.
This notice does not contain any findings from BaFin’s review, but merely points to indications regarding a possible prospectus requirement. The question of whether a prospectus requirement exists at all is currently being examined by both our external experts and BaFin itself. No final conclusion has been reached at this time.
It is regrettable that an official consumer advisory issued by a regulatory authority is being interpreted in some media reports as evidence of alleged misconduct, even though BaFin itself has expressly stated that it did not conduct any substantive review. This suggests a lack of economic and legal knowledge. TGI AG expects the media to provide an objective and legally accurate assessment of the situation.
TGI AG reserves the right to take all legally available measures against reporting that damages its reputation, as well as against the dissemination of false or misleading factual claims—including actions under media law and civil law against publications, platforms, and individuals.
Further statements will be issued in due course.
